I heard these two amazing songs while driving up to Los Angeles today on KCRW.  Naturally I had write down the song names immediately to research as soon as I got home. Click here to hear: Laura Marling – “Sophia” __________________________________ I couldn't find a video of Motopony performing their song, but I did find a Stream Check Out: “Wait for Me" by   Motopony Heard both songs for the first time on  Morning Becomes Eclectic. Driving alone up the 405 while listening to these songs back to back gave me the kind of musical 1-2 punch I only experience every rare now and then.   I got the kind of shivers reserved for when something very new touches some place very old in my emotions out of a seemingly random universe.    Listen, yourself.  Hope you can find a good video for either of them.  I couldn't.

As a mom, I shouldn't be in such a hurry to see the film The Myth Of The American Sleepover , but as a former kid reading this article on NPR and then seeing the trailer for myself, I now I'm really burning to see this flick. And, hey!  Looks like I CAN still catch it:  Who's gonna join me there?

May 21, 2011? Better put down your headsets, people.  See that cynical woman above? SHE didn't put her headset down, did she?  Nooooooo.   She smoked cigarettes and was a big, fat doubter who had sex just for the fun of it and so she will soooooo go to hell now.    Her soul was defective due to "poor choices" and she found all this out the hard way.  You know, The Hard Way. Like on the last day of the world, at the end of Gabriel's trumpet, staring into an eternal abyss of pain and regret, "the hard way." That is so not good. So, yep.  This is it:  May 21, 2011:  Today is "The Rapture" but only some of us will be joining Mimi Rogers and David Duchovny for it. "The Rapture."  1991.  What a completely creepy movie that was. Well, It's been a few years since I saw it, but, hey!  Sounds like a fun movie, no?  Rent it.  Make popcorn.  Kick back.  Relax.  And then repent your ass off. OMG...

Gee, I was thinking about hiring an orchestra for my next Youtube video, too. -- Seems worth it in this case, no?
