What? Tracy Morgan says rude things about Sarah Palin?

Image
-- No?! Actually, as a mid-century brunette who wears glasses, I'm not sure if this offends me, or not. - Should it? *In case you are too lazy to watch the imbedded link above:  Tracy Morgan is asked live on Inside the NBA  who is hotter, Sarah Palin or Tina Fey?  Morgan goes on to share that actually Palin is  not only "good masturbation material, she's great masturbation material!"

She's Baaaaaack!

For the first time in almost two years, Tina Fey reprised her her portrayal of Sarah Palin this weekend on SNL this time sending up Sarah Palin's new TLC Show "Sarah Palin's Alaska." She also introduced another fake SNL show supposedly a spinoff involving her husband  (played by Jason Seudeikis),   as an outlaw cop transplanted from Alaska in NYC. Was it as funny this time as it was the first time she did it?   Oh, I don't know.  The problem is, I find anything to do with Palin less and less funny as she wiggles her way into our lives at every given turn, even when someone as  brilliant as Fey juggles her missteps so cleverly into her comic portrayals of Ms. Palin.

"The Invention of Lying" A potentially very funny Ricki Gervais movie "on vacation" till Sept. 25

September 25th? As in fall September 25th??? So, wait -- hold on. It's summer. Right now. And there's a Ricki Gervais movie available, but just, not yet ? Oh, come on! Yeah, okay, so here's another one of my favorite funny people doing a movie which looks quite entertaining, but is APPARENTLY ON VACATION TILL SEPTEMBER 25TH. -- It looks good, doesn't it? *Sigh* ------------------------------------------------------ Here's what it said on the website about it. " The Invention of Lying " is set in a contemporary world where no one has ever lied. Gervais will play a performer who tells the first lie and harnesses its power for personal gain. Release Date: September 25, 2009 For more visit : http://www.The-Invention-of-Lying.com

Okay, Fey and Palin were on SNL, so what? -- POWELL ENDORSED OBAMA!

You know, like so many other people, I stayed up late to see if Sarah Palin would actually make an appearance on SNL last night. And, yeah, at first I was pretty impressed with NBC for getting Fey, Palin, Baldwin and Wahlberg all together on the show, so I posted link to the opening act. But, that was then, this is now. I thought about it some more and I decided not to give Sarah Palin any credit whatsoever.  I might have IF she actually had the courage to do the breakdance bit, later on, but she chickened out and let a pregnant woman do it.  So forget it! Anyhow -- The REAL story of the day is that Colin Powell endorsed Obama in a television interview so beautiful it reduced me to tears. You can see and/or read about it on Andrew Sullivan's Daily Dish -- As usual, he has some great, thoughtful commentary there. (Seriously, if you haven't heard all  of Powell's moving and eloquent Obama endorsement, then you are missing history .  You have to hear what
