Recently, I was forwarded an interesting press release regarding Eric Schaeffer's upcoming new "dramady" called " Gravity," produced by Starz Media , and felt that it may be time to revisit this subject again. Besides, as luck would have it, it turns out that tomorrow is Schaeffer's birthday (1/22/62). How best to celebrate a filmmaker than by paying homage to his work while awaiting the premiere of his soon to be aired, Gravity . Listed below are some of Schaeffer's previous film trailers along as well as some of these trailer's "hits and misses." Trailers below: from Fall, (1997), If Lucy Fell, (1996) and Wirey Spindell, (2000) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Trailer from If Lucy Fell (1996) IF LUCY FELL trailer hits and misses: Best moment in trailer : Ben Stiller: "I -- art." Louise on the Left would just like to wish Eric Schaeffer the warmest Merry Christmas ever for being the sole reason my humble blog still kicks ass. Truly, you alone are the number one subject driving the most traffic to my humble blog. I'm not sure why that is, or why my blog ranks higher on Google for your name than your own (very underwritten, frankly) blog. But, no matter: Namaste, Eric. Yes, Namaste. Thank you for making 2009 a year in which at least one subject has been so effortless to blog about. I look forward 2010 to channel more of my inner "Margaret Dumont." If you don't get what this means, just stay up late one night pigging out on Ne-mo bars, watching TCM and maybe you'll catch something by the Marx Bros. Perhaps then you'll see the connection, Or not. But, basically, nobody will ever be quite as good at being horrified by you as I am. And in the 2010, I look forward to viewing "Gravity" -- the new Starz comedy about suicid

Trick or Treat: Eric Schaeffer rises from the dead, yet again. And again.

Okay -- I have had a bit of insider info on this fact, but I sat on it, so to speak, for a while to see if what I'd heard a while back was only grandiose posturing on my "insider's" part: However, alas, it's sad, but all too true.  Eric Schaeffer's shows continue to air despite his nauseating track record in with a new series on Starz called "Gravity" and/or "Failure To Fly" which he's shooting based on the really funny subject of suicide.   Variety announces, here .   This I learned having read Nathan Rabin's funny piece,   Eric Schaeffer sadistically, inexplicably given new television show I don't get it.  I don't get why Larry David is the only comic writer who can gracefully pull off touchy subject matter without pissing people off? I think the answer is due to the fact that, David is a great writer and a comic genius.   Making me laugh about peanut allergies is almost impossible to do, but he succeeded.  Also, har
