Trick or Treat: Eric Schaeffer rises from the dead, yet again. And again.

Okay -- I have had a bit of insider info on this fact, but I sat on it, so to speak, for a while to see if what I'd heard a while back was only grandiose posturing on my "insider's" part: However, alas, it's sad, but all too true.  Eric Schaeffer's shows continue to air despite his nauseating track record in with a new series on Starz called "Gravity" and/or "Failure To Fly" which he's shooting based on the really funny subject of suicide.   Variety announces, here .   This I learned having read Nathan Rabin's funny piece,   Eric Schaeffer sadistically, inexplicably given new television show I don't get it.  I don't get why Larry David is the only comic writer who can gracefully pull off touchy subject matter without pissing people off? I think the answer is due to the fact that, David is a great writer and a comic genius.   Making me laugh about peanut allergies is almost impossible to do, but he succeeded.  Also, har

The "Lauren or My Jesus Loves Gays" episode of Eric Schaeffer's "I Can't Believe I'm Still Single"

Okay, it's almost done, these recaps of this show that I, so foolishly, committed myself to doing. But, here it is...My second to last recap of this Showtime series: Okay, so Eric and his crew are in Denver , this time, in order for Eric to have his "first date" with a yoga instructor there who he had high hopes about. Here's the thing. Why didn't they know this would be a bust? It was obviously not gonna work from the start. That's a lot of driving to waste on something inevitably that isn't going to end up butterflies and roses, you know? To begin with in the first 30 seconds of the show we hear the date "Lauren" (from Colorado) tell us proudly, "I love Jesus. I believe in the Bible and so I live my life based on the principles that I find there." So, then good old 'Em quickly pounds Lauren with a gunshot of a query: "Given that you're a Jesus lover and believe in God how does Eric's sort-of homosexual tendencies

Wait! (sound of screeching tires.) Allison may be perfect for Eric.

-- Whoa! Just found this clip. But, now after seeing her sheer joy playing a sultry Ring-mistress, keeping "the rowdy crowds at bay with her lightening quick riding crop. " Or whatever that was at (Cirque du So Gay) a Vt. pride/ gay rights celebration sheds an entirely new light on this week's episode of Eric Schaeffer's Vermont date with Allison on "I Can't Believe I'm Still Single." Yep, I take back what I said before, Allison could very well be perfect for Mr. Eric Schaeffer. (If he can keep up with her , that is. She really is up his alley, so to speak.) Check it out. All potential ego or chemistry clashes aside: This chick does, perhaps, seem quite right for Eric Schaeffer, I do wonder why it didn't seem that apparent to me on his show, though. I may be a straight, married woman with kids and living in beige-oh Orange County, Ca, but I just have to say this clip demonstrates one more reason why I love so Vermont. People have always do
