Bowie and Ricky Gervais: Their mutual love, respect and brilliant collaboration: Hilarious.

While we're all still reeling from our colossal loss, here's Bowie having a laugh at Gervais's expense (Extras).  But, wait! There's more... Gervais interviewed about the night he met David Bowie along with Salman Rushdie, etc.

"As long as there's sun  As long as there's rain  As long as there's me  As long as there's you..." Float on in sun, rain, wind, in me and in you. Float on in our collective memories.  Of who you were for each us. Thank you for being a graceful angel ushering into our world so very much we needed to see, hear, watch, feel and be inspired by.  You've given us wings with all your inspiration and vision. And from wherever you are now, please - sing on.

Love Is Lost ("Hello Steve Reich Mix") A Murphy-Bowie NSFW meditation

Newsflash: Two of my fav rock heroes, LCD Soundsytem's James Murphy and David Bowie, collaborate and come up with one very sexy, hypnotic, electrifying, meditation on the loss of love, in their music video not surprisingly called..."Love Is Lost." After watching, I'm thinking would could also be titled,  "This is your brain -- on love." -- Many thanks to that guy at Orange County Register for sending this to me.  (He knows me so well.) <3 "And this is your brain on loss of love..." Only these guys could make love-withdrawal seem as uber sexy and NWFW as they do, making me want to play it on a loop for the rest of the day.  Or night. For more insight into this collaboration read the Rolling Stone article, here. Music video by David Bowie performing Love Is Lost (Hello Steve Reich Mix by James Murphy for the DFA). This kid obviously has never heard Bowie's Laughing Gnome

This kid loves Bowie. No, this kid really, really, really loves David Bowie... Hey, Mom! -- Guess what?  You, too,  can cure this child of her obsession with just one listen of Bowie's "The Laughing Gnome." Even Bowie can't handle it. David Bowie 'Requiem For A Laughing Gnome' 1999
