Hello, my name is Louise and I am a blogging addict.

It's true. I try to stop but I can't stay off the computer. I've also become a zombie junkie for all things political. I've tried to hide this from the people I live with. But, the cracks are starting to show. I'm finding hard to maintain the same facade. I admit it: I live to check the internet. What's going on?! I have to have surgery tomorrow, but I don't care! I want to see what laughably idiotic thing Palin said just now. My van died last night on the freeway, but while waiting for the tow truck to rescue me...I'm tuned into NPR...But, WHY? So that I can get back to my computer to know what to google next! The reality is I live to troll the media outlets for news. And not just any media -- I want the hard core info: I want internet for the newest, juiciest scoop on all things Obama/McCain. I used to, back in the olden days, get addicted to channel 56 and 30 (CNN and MSNBC) and would hit that "last" button incessantly togg

McCain addresses republicans as "my fellow prisoners?"

Okay. Either Freud's slip was showing or McCain was having a senior moment, but either way -- how funny is this ?

Do you know what is really scary?

Here's a scary story: Last night my car died on the freeway because we put off getting it fixed for financial reasons...As I sat there in the dark on a busy freeway waiting for the tow truck to arrive I realized something really scary. What happens to these guys, now? Who's going to invest in saving them? Last night it really hit me, that if people like me can't get extra credit so they can afford to fix their cars, what happens to all those endangered animals whose survival relies solely upon donations made by those who "have a little extra at the end of the month?" Well, I guess they perish. -- Which, frankly, is the most horrific Halloween story I've ever heard. So, I thought about it and decided that, if like me, you really do hate Sarah Palin, then I should do something constructive with those deep feelings and go to the WWF and adopt a wolf. I encourage others to do the same. By taking action to donate funds to the WWF you'll know tha

YES WE CAN (HOLD BABIES)

Oh, my God! Hey, liberals. Check this site YES WE CAN ( HOLD BABIES) for a 100% "warm and fuzzy" moment! This website (Thank you, Pete!) really is wonderful and it really does make my day. (That and the polls showing Obama in the lead.)

Off-topic: Forget Wall Street, Wait, Beck is a Scientologist?!

I know the world appears to be going to hell in a hand basket, but, I'm having trouble processing this story. Really? Beck. Scientologist? This isn't some sort of bohemian art prank, is it? Because this is news I find very counter-intuitive.

Springsteen Speaks For This American

Bruce Springsteen speaks all Americans who also think our "sacred house" has been abused and "sold down the river for a quick buck." God bless him for putting his talent where his heart is and using his clout to do everything in his power to help Barack Obama get elected. My question is this: WHY ISN'T EVERY ARTIST DOING THE SAME? Especially this month? How can you love this country and not get involved, is my question? I think no matter what we do in life, teach, write, make cars, sing, act, design...Right now -- We all need to do everything we can to help. It doesn't matter how great or small the act, every little, seemingly futile, small act, on a daily basis that helps get people to register and vote for Obama is what we need. If it means using your voice as a musician (Like Ralph Stanley.) Or, naturally, Bruce Springsteen, or Leonardo DiCaprio or the teacher who spends a bit more time talking about what makes our country so unique and great, to

Stewart's Daily Show interviews salt of the earth in Wasilla, AK

During the Vice Presidential debate, Stewart's Daily Show was busy going right to the heartland to capture some of that down home Wasilla greatness.
