Earth Oven Series w/Company of Khanh and friends...
In collaboration with Music Tastes Good, (Festival) Khanh Hoang, the pop-up dinner chef who created Company of Khanh, brought her multicultural culinary flair to Long Beach with her Palestinian and Turkish inspired flat breads apresented at the unique Earth Oven Series along with Beachwood Brewery, and Arturo Alonzo Enciso from the wood-fired micro-bakery Emmylou Cob which operates out of Long Beach, CA.
The pop-up culinary event was presented in association with Abbie Fischel of Music Tastes Good Festival, a two day festival event in Long Beach at the end of the month which carries forward a similar vibe of culture, community, food and music to be celebrated in DTLB late Sept. And to celebrate American diversity and the culture of community Music Tastes Good has invited New Orleans, Louisiana chefs to collaborate for the MTG event in late September.
This news is all music to my ears, since I was born in the Big Easy and still think it represents much of the best, most iconoclastic of truly American food. Can't wait till for this year's festival! plus they feature on of my personal favorite dance bands, since saw them at FYF, "!!!" (Pronounced "Chk, chk, chk" - Check 'em out here. This year's festival is just gonna be to too much good under one concept! But, I’m digressing, now: Back to this weekend.
After our delicious meal, presented as a seamless flow of culinary chapters, we were treated lovely tunes and performance by amazing singer, songwriter, Alyssandra Nighswonger, who blew us away with talent.
A truly inspiring night of community, music and unique palate-pleasing discoveries all woven together along with wonderful conversation and candlelight.
